Sept Wk 3 Hot Mommas!

TWO WEEKS DOWN!

If you are incorporating a new workout and eating habits into your life you should start to see results soon. It usually takes 2-3 weeks for you to start to see some changes in the way your clothes fit and in your weight. This was a hard part for me in the beginning because you do all this exercising and you get sore and your muscles feel all pumped. You go and look in the mirror and except to see the Incredible Hulk staring back at you (or Wonder Woman at least) and yet it is still just you. You can't see those bulging bicepts or tight hamstrings that you feel you are sporting these days. BUT DON'T DESPAIR! DON'T GIVE UP!!

Keep up the hard work and you will soon be sliding into those skinny-minny jeans again! Lookin' and feelin' hot.

Something along that note from me (this is all from me what am I talking about). Anyway, I went to the Warren County A&L Fair this weekend. What!?! You haven't heard of it?! Well, I went up to my home town in TN (yes, Julee I'm sure you're sad you missed it) and took my friend Annie and her 3 girls from here in Atlanta with me, and we had a great time. Anyway, this was the first year in a few anyway that I didn't care to run into some old high school friends. I look fit, my hair is short (although it was still in a ponytail), and I'm actually doing interesting things these days. So, I'm walking around like a lioness looking for her prey. Ready to just pounce on any old friend (or heck even acquaintance) but no one. NONE. I saw a couple of my sisters friends and luckily they recognized me, so I guess that is a good sign. But, none of my friends. The last time I ran into one of my friends unexpectedly I was 9 months pregnant and totally bundled up because it was Christmas time (I'd like to blame it on my winter clothes and not my double chin) and my friend turns and looks at me and a stares a minute before recognition registers on her face and then she says "Bonnie?, is that you?". Well. What do you day to that? "Yes? And I'm here with a few friends of mine 'Flabby-armed Flo', 'Saddle-bag Sally', 'Chin-chinnie Chin', and 'Luv-handle Lucy' - it's sooooo gooooood to see you!" Or maybe I should have said "Yes. You just caught me before my audition to be a Santa body double." GEES. Instead it was something like "Yeah, hey it's great to see you. I'm glad you found me hiding in here under my nine-month belly and all that goes with it." (hip-hip-hooray.) (let's not even bring up hips actually)

But, I was ready this time. AND NOTHING. Dang.

But, I'll be ready next time!

Are you ready? Are there any class reunions coming your way soon or get togethers you plan on looking awesome at!

I hope so!

I hope that crunches, lunges, and push ups are turning you into Wonder Woman!

BURN THOSE CALORIES!! EARN THOSE POINTS!!

KNOCK THE SOCKS OFF OF EVERYONE YOU SEE!

F-I-G-H-T!, Fight, FIGHT, FIGHT!!

Bonnie,
I am glad I read this weeks article in the shm blog. I was getting discouraged because I feel so much better but the scale just aint showing it. Not loosing inches yet either. Stephanie and I have been jogging silver comet trail about every other day for at least an hour or more. On my other days Im doing workout videos and strength toning. What is the deal! No weight loss yet? Anyways...hope to see me shedding some lbs. real soon...like after this week. Thanks for the encouragement...Heather

Glad you made it to the fair! Sorry you weren't able to show off like you wanted. If it's any consolation, Lori said you looked awesome. So the word is spreading.

What did you eat? Everyone knows that's the best part of the fair!

You just always have to call me out don't you Julee? If you must know I ate half a cheese burger and a few bites of funnel cake. There. Are you happy? And, oh, I almost forgot- I also had some cheese fries and practically licked the little cardboard container clean! I LOVE THEM SO MUCH!
