My cousin Haley sent this to me and now I'm sharing it with you. I am very glad that you have all chosen to take on the Hot Momma challenge. The reason I love Smokin' Hot Mommas so much is because it is a total fitness group that include exercises for mind, body, and spirit and I'll add family to that. Haley wants us all to remember, as I do a poor job of reminding us of this, that not matter our size we should find joy and love for our bodies. Here is link made by Dove for their Real Beauty Defined campaign. Also, just a note, please let me your children know that you trying to be healthier and more in charge of your life. You are not trying to "not be fat" or any other negative wording. We want to be fit, healthy, and full of energy to enjoy a long life with our rugrats!
Here are Haley's comments and below is the link. (note: it is a bit graphic in spots so don't let the little girls watch)

"I think that this is something that would be interesting to others in the SHM group. Here’s why:
We are all working very hard to get our bodies into the best shape possible. While we all want to be flab-free, pooch-less, and as “Smokin Hot” as we can possibly be. I do think, however, that we need to remember how great our bodies really are! I have been thinking about this quite a bit since I first saw the video yesterday. We have a loving Heavenly Father that created these amazing bodies for us. Bodies that gain weight and lose it, that bear children-multiple times, and sometimes more than one child at a time. He has given us bodies that can be pushed to the limit on Tuesday and that can recover enough to get pushed there again on Thursday (yes, I am referring to your workouts).
Since I started taking SHM seriously, I have been eating better, sweating more, getting stronger and I am even a little skinnier. This has not only benefited me as far as weight loss and body changes go, but I am a happier person. I feel better, physically. Mentally, I feel that I am able to take on more. I now enjoy a challenge, and try to rise to meet it.
While it is great to continue pushing ourselves to new limits, I also feel like we should each pat ourselves on the back, and congratulate ourselves for reaching the point we are at now. I hope that the same thing is happening to the other ladies that has happened to me: I can look at myself in the mirror and be pleased with what I see. I know that there is more to be done, but I am loving where I am right now. I don’t compare myself to others like I used to, and I am comforted by the fact that I am working hard to achieve what I want to!"
Thank you for sharing Haley and you are right on! When you guys get "Bonnie the cheerleader" emails please know that this is extreme Bonnie. I love it, but we have to let our kids now that different body types are wonderful; we just all want to be healthy!

That is such a good thought! Thank you soo much for posting it so we can all share it.
I totally agree and love the fact that we can realize and know that it's okay to look different, it's about feeling good about ourselves, not fitting the super model mold. Thanks for the thought, it's a good reminder.
My 10year old son just went through the school lunch menu & decided which meals were heatlhy and which meals were not so healthy, so we should pack a lunch. I hope this healthy lifestyle becomes a habit for him always!
