Monday is my laundry day, and after working out on my treadmill this morning I took off my shirt (so I was now sporting my sports bra and pants) and put it in the wash. I then sat down to fold clothes and looked down. MY-OH-MY that sight was disturbing!! However, being the lazy me I then mopped in the sports bra. OH-ME-OH-MY!
Ya know, I used to not believe that anyone that has had a child would ever look the same. But then, ya know, my view became not as harsh as I met skinny, toned people or saw stars or what not and they all looked really good. But there is something to be said for a stomach that has been stretched and deflated like a balloon a number of times while one is standing straight up and the abdomen area is nice and stretched out. There is something else to be said for that same area when one is sporting a sports bra and bending and leaning over to mop. That said word would "DISTURBING!". The puckering, sagging, weird stretching... - ya have kids - then ya know.
So I have something new to add to your prayers tonight -
Thank Heaven that people around the world both men and women do NOT walk around in sports bras all day long. You think the world is disturbing enough now. OH YEAH...WELL...Subway would probably love it though. And salad places, definitely salad places.
Honestly, my six year came up to me after a little while and said "Um, Mom, you really need on a shirt. That is kinda yucky." Thank you Sadi. Thank you very much my little self appointed trainer. Thank you very, very, oh so very, much. ....blah.....
Thank Heaven.
Success!

Quite funny. Well, I have to say that maybe those of us who have had kids won't ever be the same, but Billy Blanks from Tae Bo said it really well on his new work out DVD. He pulled five different women up to the front (all in sports bras) and pointed out that each had a different size body with different curves, BUT, the were all fit, healthy women. We may all look different, and we can't all fit into the same body type, but we can all be healthy and fit, and that's good enough for me. Good luck everyone!!
