Happy Thursday!Put those rubber gloves back on ladies cuz we're moving to the showers and tubs today. That's right...we're going to scrub like we've never scrubbed before. Lucky for you guys, I did mine yesterday and used about 4 different cleaning products to see which one worked the best. Here's what I did. First of all my tub is not porcelin, it's some kind of plastic material that does not clean up as well as porcelin does. I got a bunch of tips online for cleaning tubs. Anyways, I always use my trusty magic eraser for the bathtub because it usually gets it sparkling clean. No luck yesterday. Then I sprinkled some Ajax let it sit, then used the magic eraser...better, but still not sparkling. Then I read that you should use non odor oven cleaner and a magic eraser to clean the tub, so I did that...that didn't work for my tub either. Lastly, I read that you should put a few squirts of liquid dish soap in a spray bottle with some water, spray down your tub, let that sit for 5 minuets, then wipe up with the magic eraser. Guess what? It worked! My tub still is not perfect, but it worked. This is the method I will be using from now on. I would recommend getting you some magic erasers at the dollar store, or buy the "Heavy duty" magic erasers from the grocery store. You get more cleaning power out of them and they last longer. Just don't buy one with a sponge on one end and eraser on the other. I found those wear down really fast and don't work as well. This challenge is good for today and tomorrow only. Give yourself 5 extra points for this one.
