LAST WEEK! LAST WEEK! LAST WEEK!!
Can you believe we made it?! Can you believe YOU made it?! (did you make it?)
I hope so. I bet you did!
So, I went easy on you for this last week's BONUS CHALLENGE. I was feeling a little guilty about the whole MARATHON running thing. But, I am AMAZED at all the people that have told me that they actually did the WHOLE 26 MILES!! Way to go!! I hope your eating habits were a bit better this week and you got all the points. Wk 4 challenge is on the blog! We are finishing off STRONG! (yeah you got it - good ole' strength points)
So it being the last week and me finding myself feeling a little generous with the points here are some extra Bonus points that you might be able to earn.
ADD 3 bonus points if during wk1 you averaged (not including the bonus points earned on Thurs) at least 10 points per day from the Healthy Habits and Fabulous Fitness categories (no weekly point categories should be counted in the average).
ADD 3 bonus points if during wk2 you ran/walked in one week or one day or one block of workout FURTHER than you ever have before.
ADD 3 bonus points if during wk3 you ate outside the box for 5 (not just 4) of the 6 days (Sunday does not count- at all - ever).
ADD 1 bonus point per comment you have made on the blog as of yesterday (Sat 24th).
You can also earn 2 bonus points if you make a comment on the blog this last week. (2 point max)
You can also earn 3 bonus points if you send me a HOT MOMMA picture (whatever you feel shows off you participation in this group) to post on the blog. I want to get a HOT MOMMA slide show on there with all of you included. So send me a photo of you on your treadmill or fitting into a smaller size of jeans or eating your 4 orange of the day. DO NOT send me that picture of you mackin' a cheese burger (i have a lot of these!)!!
Now that is all the freebies and as you can tell they are going out to those of you who have EARNED them! Way to go! I hope you are racking up.
To the MOTIVATION SENSATION--
So, I was jogging this week on my mom's treadmill. Well it is up next to the wall so you stare at a blank wall the whole time - BOOOORRRRRIIIIIINNNNNNGGGGG! She got a flat screen for Christmas to go there and still hasn't put it up. Go figure. (and yes, she does actually use it 6 days a week but she walks and reads). Anyway, I had in my ipod and was totally rockin' to one of my workout mixes that I use for my aerobics class. (did I tell you I teach? yeah, I know I did but I'm just still really excited about it!)
Well, if you are in my class or since you read my totally spaz emails then you can imagine that I yell a lot and give myself congrats and pep talks along the way. Well, on this day I was doing 4 miles and wanted to really pump them out so I was doing some intervals. I would run on a 7 for a song then an 8 for a song then a 9 for as long as my legs would go without being run off the treadmill then back down to 7 and do it all over again. (just in case, 7 would mean 7mph and so on) Well, I don't know what you run at but I tend to be slower on the treadmill than I am outside for some weird reason so 8 and 9 are pretty fast for me. Well during the 9's you could totally hear me yelling things like "Come on Bonnie! You're rockin' this!!" "Way to go, that was awesome!" and so forth.
Well I have a couple of songs that tend to really get me going and one is Kelly Clarkson's Since You've Been Gone. I just think this is a great one to just lose yourself and rock your workout with. SO I listened to it twice because I needed some extra time and decided to just go nuts and run at a 10 (uh, yeah, that was double digits!) as long as I could take it. Well, that last about a minute or so and the whole time I'm yelling "Come on Kelly!, Sock it to me Kelly!, that's right Kelly!, you got it Kelly!" After my workout which I did 4 miles in 31 minutes (not bad) I got off and went out of the room and my sister who's name happens to be Kelly also says "you don't know how painful it is to hear you motivate yourself in there." Well, the whole time I am rockin' with the music blaring in my ears and all she hears is the hum of the treadmill and my "Whoo!'s and other such crazy expressions coming out of there. But hey, whatever get's you there....right?!
So here are some quotes from the workout mix that I thought all sounded like perfect SMOKIN' HOT MOMMA lines to me!! BTW - really great mix to work out to. Warm up, kick butt cardio, and calm cool down.
"It's just a ride, it will take you all around sometimes your up sometimes your down" - JEM Just a Ride (getting warmed up)
"I am invincible. I am invincible! I am INVINCIBLE! As long as I'm alive!" - John Mayer No Such Thing
"She is everything I need that I never knew I wanted. She is everything I want that I never knew I needed!" - The Fray She Is
"Why do they follow me?" - Men at Work Who Can It Be Now?
"Make sure you do it wise " - Green Day When I Come Around
"Don't write yourself off yet....just try your best. Try everything you can! It just takes some time...everything will be just fine!" - Jimmy Eat World The Middle (one of my absolute faves!!!!!)
"I really don't think it gets any better than this!" - The Cure Mint Car
"Your dedicated. You took the time." "I GET WHAT I WANT!!" - Kelly Clarkson Since You Been Gone
"Sassy girl you are the one for me!" - My Man Friday (great BYU band years ago) Sassy Girl (can you believe I would like a song entitled this?!)
"It's not always rainbows and butterflies, it's compromise that moves us along" - Maroon 5 She Will Be Loved
"Slow down my beating heart" - U2 In a Little While (cool down song)
"Just go on. Just go on. " - Jack Johnson Just Go On
I hope you have killer workouts this week! Remember we will not be slaves to black or sweat suits!!
The wk 4 Bonus Challenge can be found on the blog in the upper right hand corner.

on Saturday I put on a shirt I hadn't worn in a while. It is very fitting to the body, that is why. Anyways, I looked down and did not see my belly bulge at all. I was so happy. My husband thought I was sucking in, but I wasn't. After taking my measurements and weighing myself, I haven't lost anything this week, so I don't really know what that was about. Maybe it was just a flattering shirt, but I felt great this week. My eating habits have completely changed these past two weeks. Week one, I lost 3 lbs, this week, nothing...so I am just going to stick to this diet and excercise and see if this weight won't magically come off.
Burn Baby Burn....my calves are burnin' from all the jumping rope. Just a little suggestion if you are trying to complete the jump rope challenge do it before you have drank all your water or you may have the trampoline affect :) LOL... stay near the bathroom!

Ummmm.... I'm sore...... Again.
From JENNA! (just to clarify - not me)
WARNING the following content may be disturbing and offensive to all jump-ropers...
So i had a free hour (or so i thought) and decided to quickly do my jump rope, sit ups, man push ups deal while watching a video - a FOOD STORAGE video, mind you. I couldn't be bothered to change into my sports bra or any other workout attire, so I stripped off my jeans and worked out in my underwear(one of the benefits to having your last kid in kindergarten - being home alone). Wouldn't you know that in between every jump rope session i had to go to the bathroom. It was so bad that I would leave the living room 30 seconds before my 5 min of jumping was over and would jump rope past the front door & down the hall so i could be at the toilet the instant my 5 minutes were up. Pathetic I know. So there I was jumping in my underwear, about to pee, watching how to can butter of all things, with only seconds left on my last jump roping session, when I took off hopping past the front door & down the hall to arrive at the toilets edge. Only this time my rhythmic jumps came to an abrupt halt as I jumped past the front door and noticed TWO people standing there. (doorbell hasn't worked in 5 months...gonna have to fix that). My rhythmic hopping turned into panicked sprinting as i streaked in my underwear to the furthest bedroom. I knew it had to be the Jehovah Witnesses. Like I can really talk "watch tower" in my silky underwear and sweaty tight undershirt. Knowing they would go away, I snuck into the bathroom for the much desired potty break. Mid-potty the door opens. Crap. They're gonna hear me in the bathroom and I only have my underwear to walk in. I prayed they wouldn't notice i was going potty WITH THE DOOR OPEN. I knew they would just leave the WatchTower magazine and go... But that's when I heard, "Jenna! Jenna! It's your visiting teachers coming for our appointment. We can hear your video... are you home?!" (for those of you who don't know, visiting teachers are two ladies that my church, The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, assigned me to so they can come visit me every month - have a good chat, share an inspirational message, and help me out if i need anything...) So did NOT remember they were coming. Seeing how I was hiding in the bathroom and my pants were actually across the house in the kitchen, i had no choice but to walk out proudly in my underwear and admit that i'm a nut and do crazy things like jump rope for 20 minutes in my underwear with my PRETEND jump rope while blasting the food storage video. I think people like me get professional help.
PS - if it makes you feel better, i did wrap a tiny towel around my exposed underwear to limit the shock and horror.

I had a good weigh in this morning. At this point, I'm just one pound away from losing my first 10 pounds since resuming healthy habits again. I'm trying really hard to drop that pound by week's end, so I can start tackling the next 10. Wish me luck...or better yet send me a cheer!
Luv ya, babe!
See you in a couple weeks???
do I lose my sugar point by sucking on a Hall's cough drop? I'm definately not enjoying it but it's the sweetest thing I've had in awhile. just curious.
oh the things we do for sugar! I am curious. Do you even have a cough?
Hey, I am fitting in my pants with room to spare! I'm so excited I'm looking and feeling better! Thanks!
